Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know you are the right person for me to work with?

I offer a complimentary "chemistry" call to see if I am for you and explore which of my services feel right for you just now. If I am not right for you I have a diverse list of alternative resources available and will try and make alternative suggestions of who or what may suit you better.

You came to me for a reason and I don't want your proactivity to be wasted!

If I don't have mental health struggles would working with you still benefit me?

I love to work with people who want to create their life and future around themselves, their happiness, their health, their needs and their wants.

If who you are, what you need and your wants are not your priority in life then I wouldn't be the best coach for you. I'm a very person focused with the goal of every client walking away from our session with more love, compassion, kindness and pride in themselves.

I do business and general life coaching and my clients have had very successful outcomes, they were their focus when they signed up to work with me but they came out realising the benefits and truth that come when including your true self in your dreams.

Get in touch if you want to discuss this further or book in for a complimentary “chemistry” call.

I'm not sure if I'm ready, how can I test it out?

This is something that we can discuss on a complimentary "Discovery" call. We can discuss where you are right now, how you are feeling and what could be the next step for you. I have a diverse list of alternative resources available and am happy to share some options that may suit you just now.

If I know you, can you still Coach me?

It would depend how well we know each other. If we know each other in a casual sense then it is possible for us to work together. The Journey Book service allows you to stay anonymous from me that is available to anyone and everyone.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Although I have a certificate in Counselling Skills and am a certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Practitioner but I am not a Counselor and Coaching is not Counselling.

Coaching is a Partnership, so conversation flows in both directions. We work as a team in getting you to where you want to be. Coaching is forward focused and proactive.

I am an empathic person and have a deep understanding of the difficulties life throws at us. I have been on my own journey in life and am happy to share when it is welcomed, appropriate and helpful.

I'm concerned about confidentiality and sharing my private stuff with you?

What can I expect in a Coaching session with you?

Coaching is a dynamic partnership between myself and the client.

In a Coaching session with me you can expect to :

• Discuss your current life.

• Explore where you want to be in the different areas of your life.

• Discover or clarify your goals, wants and needs.

• Be heard and understood

• Gain insight into patterns of behaviour or thinking that no longer serve you.

• See other viewpoints and pathways available to you.

• Gain awareness of choice.

• Be supported, inspired and motivated.

• Leave with actions that will take you closer to achieving  your goals and dreams.

How many sessions will I need?

To give you an answer specific to you I suggest you book in for a free “inquiry” call.

For some people, 1 session is enough to get the clarity and focus they need to move forward themselves. For a mix of my services, the Freedom Package would be ideal for you.

If you start with one session and then realise you want to book a package I will take the single session fee off the block price so you don't miss out on any savings.

What about Confidentiality?

Confidentiality is as important to me as it is to you. Our partnership needs to be a safe relationship for both of us. I often share, where helpful, information about my life and journey. Trust and openness works both ways in this partnership.

What can I expect from Therapeutic Talking with you?

During Therapeutic Talking a gentle space is held for you to talk through how you are feeling, what is taking up space in your mind and what is creating emotions you don't want to be feeling.

This time is used to focus on yourself, for you to be seen and heard and for your needs to be given sometime.

The aim is that you leave the session calmer, with more clarity and insight.

Taking time for yourself is not always easy to do but it is always worthwhile.

Where do you do sessions?

Coaching is usually done via Zoom or Skype video call. I am willing to do social distanced face to face sessions where I reside in Laragh, Co.Wicklow.

There is a lovely large glass fronted room overlooking the Wicklow Mountains that I use.

What can I expect from the Journey Book?

The Journey Book is a powerful tool that takes you on the journey of exploration. It will help you explore, identify and clarify your feelings, wants and mindset.

The Journey book is a personalised workbook where every question and input is created for you and your specific needs on your journey.

The Journey book is created online. You and I are the only people with access to it. Once each week, when you are ready for me to do so, I will go into the document, read your explorations, provide feedback, suggestions and support. I will then create the next section of your Journey Book based on your needs in moving forward in your journey.

How do I sign up anonymously for the Journey Book?

Set up a new Gmail email address and use this email address when completing the Journey Book form. You can pick the name you introduce yourself to me as. It is that simple to work with me and keep your identity private.

Do you have a discount for those with a low or benefit income?

Yes, I want everyone to be able to access my services. Please get in touch to discuss your personal situation.
